NewsFLASH

THE LOGO

The institutional emblem embodies four powerful symbols—the Sun, the Conch, the Lamp and the Lotus. Each symbol represents a profound value and conveys an important message for the development of an enlightened, responsible and socially conscious individual.

The Sun — Symbol of Radiance, Energy and Progress

The Sun represents universal brilliance and radiance. Its warmth sustains life, while its light and energy illuminate and energise the entire living world. The Sun is a source of life, strength, courage, valour, determination and enthusiasm.

The rays of the Sun bring life to the Earth and inspire human beings towards continuous action, endeavour and progress. Just as the Sun illuminates the entire world through its own light, a human being should illuminate society and the nation through knowledge, values, character, righteous conduct and meaningful action.

The Sun reminds us to maintain energy, discipline, perseverance, self-confidence and dedication throughout life and to perform our duties with sincerity and commitment.

The Conch — Symbol of Truth, Dharma and Justice

The Panchajanya Conch of Lord Krishna symbolises the proclamation of Dharma, truth, justice and the welfare of humanity.

Its divine resonance awakens courage and determination. Its powerful call creates fear in the hearts of those who follow the path of wrongdoing, injustice and unrighteousness, while filling the hearts of courageous and duty-bound individuals devoted to the nation and humanity with enthusiasm, confidence and valour.

The sound of Panchajanya is not merely a call to battle; it is a sacred proclamation of the victory of righteousness over unrighteousness, truth over falsehood and justice over injustice.

It inspires every individual to remain conscious of his or her duties and to move fearlessly on the path of truth, righteousness and national welfare.

The Panchajanya reminds us that whenever injustice, untruth and unrighteousness increase in society, responsible and conscientious individuals must awaken and make sincere efforts to protect truth, Dharma and justice.

The Lamp — Symbol of Sacrifice, Service and Dedication

The Lamp teaches us the noble lesson of accepting hardship for the welfare of others and illuminating the path of those around us.

A person sitting in darkness receives light when the lamp lights its own wick and radiates its inner brilliance. The lamp continues to burn, gradually consuming itself, solely to provide light to others. It never seeks light for itself. Even while existing amidst darkness, it illuminates homes and humble dwellings with its radiance.

The lamp therefore represents sacrifice, service, dedication, selflessness, compassion and a strong sense of duty.

Just as a lamp gives light by offering itself, those who dedicate their lives to the welfare of their nation, society and humanity, sacrificing their personal comforts for a greater cause, are truly blessed. They are worthy of respect, emulation and remembrance, and become genuine guides for society.

We too should strive to make our lives like a lamp—one that dispels the darkness of ignorance, despair and negativity from the lives of others.

It inspires every individual to remain conscious of his or her duties and to move fearlessly on the path of truth, righteousness and national welfare.

The Lotus — Symbol of Purity, Selflessness and Dedication

The Lotus symbolises purity, sanctity, selflessness and dedication.

The lotus grows in muddy surroundings, yet remains untouched by the impurities around it. Similarly, a person should preserve the purity of thoughts, conduct and values even while living amidst the challenges and imperfections of the world.

The lotus teaches us that circumstances may be difficult, but one must never compromise one's purity of thought, character and conduct.

The lotus grows in water, yet rises above the water and blossoms in its own beauty. In the same manner, human beings should live in the world while rising above the negative influences of attachment, greed, anger, illusion and ego, and follow the path of truth, righteousness, good conduct and duty.

The lotus does not take pride in its purity. It simply blossoms with humility and remains devoted to offering itself at the feet of the Divine.

Our nation and the society that inhabits it are a visible manifestation of the Divine. Therefore, if we dedicate our strength, knowledge, scientific abilities, talent, brilliance, purity and wisdom to the welfare of our nation and society, what greater privilege and purpose could there be?

The Lotus teaches us that life should be pure, actions should be selfless, the heart should remain humble, and every effort should be dedicated to the welfare of society and the nation.

The vision of Haridwar DPS is to nurture every child through value-based education, cultivating the virtues of good conduct, service, discipline, patriotism and human values.
